Robert M. Chesnis Sr. 75, died on June 7, 2015 at his home following a sudden illness. Born in Worcester MA. On May 16, 1940 he was the son of Michael and Lucille Chesnis. Robert was raised in Worcester where he attended local schools.
Following his school years he served his country in the U.S. Army from 1957-1968. After his service he was employed by Worcester Hahnemann as a Bio technician for many years. He relocated to Ashland in 2009, while in Ashland he was a member of the Dupuis-Cross Post #15 American Legion. Robert enjoyed fishing and music. He was predeceased by his wife Marianne in 1985 and also by his son Robert M. chesnis Jr.
He survived by his son James Chensis Sr. of Ashland , 2 daughters Rose Schalk of Germany, and Patricia Miksa of Florida, 7 grandchildren, and 1 Great Grandchild, 1 brother Richard Chesnis of MA., 2 sisters Carole Manos of Oxford, Ma., and Rose Murray of Millbury, Ma., and a step brother Albert C. Lorraine.
A graveside service will be held on Friday June 12, 2015 at St. John’s Cemetery 260 Cambridge Street in Worcester Ma. At 11am. Dupuis Funeral Home in Ashland is handling arrangements for more info go to dupuisfuneralhome.com.
