Robert Erwin “Buzz” Young 78, died at Lakes Region General Hospital in Laconia on August 23, 2017 following a sudden illness. Born in West Stewartstown on February 5, 1939, the son of Roger and Esther (Leroux) Young.  He spent his early years in Stewartstown, relocating to the True Farm in Holderness.  He attended local schools and graduated from Plymouth High School.

He was employed at LW Packard Woolen Company in Ashland for many years in the Spinning Department.  He was also the caretaker at the True Farm in Holderness. Buzz enjoyed hunting, fishing and especially golf.  He was pre-deceased by his wife Elizabeth (Fields) Young; parents, brothers Richard Young, Ernest Shute, and James Shute, also his grandson Matthew Weatherbee.

He is survived by his daughters Roberta McBride and husband Tom of Ocala, Florida; Briana Hickman and husband Bill of North Ft Meyers, Florida and Tena Chant and husband Chris of Holderness, New Hampshire; sisters, Carolyn Sharon, Donna Weston, Linda Haven, Barbara Cotnoir, Sherwood Shute, Janice Banks, and Deborah Achramowicz  Nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and his “Crazy little Bird.”

There will be a celebration of his life on Sunday, September 3, 2017 at 2pm at the Asquam Marina, 881 US Rt 3 in Holderness, New Hampshire. Dupuis Funeral Home in Ashland is assisting the family. For more info go to
