Richard (Dick) G. Farrell, 64, of Ashland passed away at home on July 22, 2014 after a lengthy illness. He was born on June 3, 1950 to Francis and Yvonne Farrell in Nashua, NH. His family moved to Ashland, NH where Dick met, and after married his high school sweetheart, Diane Bergeron. He was a graduate of Ashland High School, class of 1968. He began working as a Firefighter, then as a Police Officer for the Town of Plymouth. He served the citizens in the Town of Plymouth for 26 Years before retiring at the rank of Sergeant. Dick enjoyed working outdoors so he started a landscaping company after retirement, and continued to own and operate it until his death. Dick enjoyed traveling with friends and family, and most enjoyed being at the ocean.
Dick was predeceased by his parents, his sister Ann F Winn and his brother-in-law Thomas Winn. He is survived by his loving wife Diane (Bergeron) Farrell of Ashland, his three children Richard Farrell II and his wife Melisa Farrell of Wentworth, Michael Farrell of Plymouth, and Beth Farrell of Holderness. He is also survived by his grandchildren whom he loved dearly Dustin Farrell, Richard Farrell III, Makenzie Farrell, Audra Farrell and Katie White and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held at the Dupuis Funeral Home 11 Hill Avenue, Ashland on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 from 6 to 8 pm. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at 11am in Green Grove Cemetery, Ashland.
