Patricia Jean (Doyle) Holland, 71 died on February 6, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family, following a period of declining health.
She was born in Hanover, New Hampshire on June 23, 1943, the daughter of William and Irene (Preston) Doyle. Pat was raised in Vermont where she attended local schools. She was a graduate of Thetford Academy. She came to Ashland 49 years ago and has been a resident ever since. While in Ashland she was employed at Plymouth Stitching, Ashland Schools, Comfort Inn, Ash True Value, and was also self-employed for many years. Pat was a member of the Ashland Baptist Church, Ashland Woman’s Club, and the Ashland Community Center. She enjoyed quilting, shopping, her grandchildren, traveling and the Boston Red Sox.
She is survived by her husband Melvin Holland of Ashland, daughters Dr. Michelle Brague of Pennsylvania, Lisa Ash of Ashland, Holly Andrews of Meredith; her sons Brett Beede of Ashland, Melvin Scott Holland of Hillsboro, Christopher Holland of Campton; twelve grandchildren; four brothers, Dave Doyle of Berlin, Jim Doyle of South Carolina, Larry Doyle of Arizona, and Russell “Pete” Doyle of New York; one sister Joan Van Norden of Thetford, Vermont; and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, February 13th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm at the Dupuis Funeral Home 11 Hill Avenue in Ashland. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 14th at 11am at the Ashland Baptist Church, Main Street in Ashland.
