Margaret B Duguay

Margaret B Duguay, 87, of Ashland died on May 7, 2015 at Franklin Regional Hospital following a period of Margaret Duguay Photodeclining health. She was born in Keene, New Hampshire on July 31, 1927, the daughter of Kenneth and Margaret (Bowker) McClearn. Peggy was raised in the Keene area, attending local schools. She moved to Athol, MA with her mother where she finished high school and met her future husband.

In the late 1940’s, she and her husband Leonard (Peewee) relocated from Athol, Massachusetts to Ashland, New Hampshire where they made their home. For many years, Peggy worked with her husband at their family store, Peewee’s Market, here in Ashland. Following the sale of their Market, she was employed by Dr. John S Reever, DDS as his office manager. She was a member of St Agnes Catholic Church, Dupuis Cross Post #15 American Legion Auxiliary, the 50+ Club, the Lilacs, was on a bowling league, volunteered at the Ashland Community Center, was a ballot clerk for all elections, worked diligently on the 4th of July Committee, as well as marching in and passing out flags.   Peggy enjoyed boating, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, crocheting, but most of all, she loved her Grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Leonard (Peewee) Duguay, her son Stephen, and sister Beverly Bilodeau.   She is survived by two sons, Kenneth and wife Floretta of Franklin, and her son Daniel Duguay of Ashland; three grandchildren, Matthew Duguay of Sommerville, Ma, Andrew Duguay of Tilton, and Amanda Duguay of East Boston, MA.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, May 11, 2015 from 6 to 8 pm at the Dupuis Funeral Home, 11 Hill Avenue in Ashland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 12th at 11am at Holy Trinity Parish, St Agnes Catholic Church, Hill Avenue in Ashland. Burial to follow in Green Grove Cemetery, Ashland.
