LEONARD THOMAS “TOMMY” BRACE

Leonard Thomas “Tommy” Brace 86, a long time Ashland resident, died at the Grafton County Nursing Home in North Haverhill, New Hampshire on February 26, 2015.

He was born in Lochmere, New Hampshire on November 6, 1928, the son of Leonard F and Rina (Welch) Brace.

Tom moved to Ashland at a young age.  In 1946, Tom enlisted in the US Navy to serve his country.  After serving his country, he returned to Ashland.   He was employed by LW Packard for 43 years in the Card Room.  He also worked for Ray Burke Trucking for many years.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, his grandchildren, and sports.  He was an avid New York Yankee fan and a Miami Dolphin fan.  He was a member of BPOE Lodge #2312 Elks in Holderness and the Dupuis Cross Post #15 in Ashland.

He was pre-deceased by his wife Shirley. He is survived by his children Mark Brace of Plymouth and Kim Holt of Ashland; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
