Ira E. Vintinner 83, died at Golden View Health Care in Meredith on February 21, 2014 following a period of declining health. He was born in West Stewartstown on September 30, 1930, the tenth child of William and Daisy [Berwick] Vintinner.

Ira was a longtime resident of New Hampton, working many years for the New Hampshire Department of Transportation.  He was predeceased by his parents, brothers, Alfred, Edmund and Guy; sisters Eileen, Violet Jones, Gladys Rochefort, Helen Hatin, Bertha Howe, Josephine Hines, and  Gloria Reitsma.

He is survived  by his wife of 57 ½ years Charlotte (Drake) Vintinner of New Hampton, Daughters Darlene MacPherson of Alexandria, Bonnie Batchelder of New Hampton, Tina Gosnell of Laconia; eight grandchildren, Kenneth & William Brown, Alyssa MacPherson, Lori, Christine, & Dan Batchelder, Theresa Vintinner and Tracy Gurney; ten great grandchildren, Dante & Lily Brown, Natsumi Germeno, Akina & Elijah Brown, Gemma & Cullen Raymond, Aiden Vintinner, Ella & Eric Gurney; three sisters Beulah Adams of Plymouth, Janette Nelson of Campton, and Judy Lowery of Georgia, also many nieces and nephews.

Ira enjoyed fishing, bowling (on leagues) with his wife, as well as his family.  He enjoyed swimming and chocolate bars. Ira was a good friend and helped many people during his life time.

A celebration of Ira’s Life will take place at the Family Worship Center, 319 Highland Street in Plymouth, New Hampshire on March 8, 2014.  Friends may call from 10:00am until the time of the Service at 11:00am.  Dupuis Funeral Home in Ashland is in charge of the arrangements.  For more info go to
