He was born in Nashua on February 24, 1936, to the late Rolland and Cora (Burgess) Hill. He was a member of the National Guard and Army from 1954 to 1962. In 1955, Bert married his one true love, the late Doris (Bishop) Hill. They would go on to enjoy 59 wonderful years together.
The majority of his career was spent working as a heavy equipment operator. He was employed by Don Wheeler Construction of Bedford, as well as Dana Patterson Inc. of Merrimack.
Bert enjoyed tinkering in the garage, cruising around on his motorcycle and going dancing to the sounds of Dwight Davis. He also enjoyed 20 years of seasonal trips to Florida with his wife.
He will forever be remembered for his great sense of humor and the love he had for his family, who meant the world to him. Although he was known by many different names such as Dad, Grampa, Grampy and Grap, the love he showed for his family was always felt equally.
